Avantasia, Ralf Scheepers - The Wicked Rule The Night

The crack of thunder boding evil in the night Raging forks impale the dark skies That carry and rock what they're afraid to speak of Out to choke the light A Godless name the storm bell cries The pestering, the blight Someone's got to bear the blame, you name the name The wicked rule the night Knocking up all disarray And there is hell to pay Fire, and yet we'll come for you again Try to close your eyes, we'll show up anyway Fire, you know we'll return once again You can turn the page, the image will remain We're in your dreams They ride the storm that they've brewed up in secrecy Speak in tongues, they curse and pray Spat maledictions, left them high in ecstasy You don't get a word they say The poison's got to flow You let it off, rechannelize, depressurize The wicked seed is sown To spawn disarray And there is hell to pay Fire, and yet we'll come for you again Try to close your eyes, we'll show up anyway Fire, you know we'll return once again You can turn the page, the image will remain We're in your dreams And in the boscage staring eyes Something hiding from the light The wicked rule the night Fire, by night we'll come for you again Try to close your eyes, we'll haunt you anyway Fire, be sure we'll return once again You can burn the page, the image will remain We're in your dreams Fire
