Avantasia, Michael Kiske - The Moorlands at Twilight

Twilight caresses the moorlands a breeze Kisses the heath and the pines awake Branches dance They whisper and creak Skeletal shadows Eternities lying in wait For mortals they’ll take No man nor beast would fear Just a whim of illusions But how tell nothing is there When it’s not unveiled Alone, this place: alive Abandoned by angels A cordon of grim silhouettes Watching the gateway Way too profound to conceit Crack in the now! When did I fall from grace? Frightful yet astounding A fairy play? Crack in the now! How could I fall from grace? A gloom that houses beauty Twilight on the moor Afraid to remember, yet scared of the brume Swallowing instant and afterglow It beggars belief, bearing tangible proof The magic arresting A twist in what you ought to know Astonishing show No man nor beast would fear Just a whim of illusions But how tell something is not When it’s not unveiled Alone, this place: alive Abandoned by angels A cordon of grim silhouettes Watching the gateway Way too profound to conceit A crack in the now! When did I fall from grace? Frightful yet astounding A fairy play? Crack in the now! How could I fall from grace? A gloom that houses beauty Twilight on the moor Crack in the now! When did I fall from grace? Frightful yet astounding A fairy play? Crack in the now! How could I fall from grace? A gloom that houses beauty Twilight on the moor
