Dewian Gross - We Were Loud Once

Funny how quiet it is now Even the city sounds slow I pass the places we burned down Like they don’t know We used to laugh in the street Didn’t care who heard our names Now I talk low when I speak Like love’s something to be ashamed Your voice still lives in my head But it don’t sound the same I miss who we were back then Before the pause, before the change I don’t miss the fights or the pain I miss the noise we made We were loud once Now I’m whispering your name We were loud once Now it’s quiet every day We were loud once Didn’t hide, didn’t run If love makes a sound We were one Maybe silence is the price For loving out loud We were loud once Heartbeats in the open We were loud once Now I barely notice We were loud once Guess that’s how it goes You don’t hear the echo Till the noise is gone Yeah... We were loud
