Dewian Gross - Empty Passenger Seat

I start the car, it’s just me again Same old road like it never ends I look right like you’re still there But it’s only air in the empty chair I don’t play that song no more But it still plays in my head for sure I act like I’m over it now But I don’t think I figured it out I say I’m fine, I say I’m good Like I think I probably should But every night when I drive alone It don’t feel like I’m alone It’s that empty passenger seat Still feels like you’re next to me I turn the wheel but I don’t know where it goes ‘Cause you’re still here in the way I go Empty passenger seat It keeps talking back to me I can leave, I can run, I can try But you stay on the right side of my mind Almost text you at the red light Then I delete it like every time Same old habit I can’t break You’re still in every move I make I tell myself it’s in my head But that don’t really change it yet Every road I take at night Feels like somewhere you and I I say I’m fine, I say I’m good Like I think I probably should But every night when I drive alone It don’t feel like I’m alone It’s that empty passenger seat Still feels like you’re next to me I turn the wheel but I don’t know where it goes ‘Cause you’re still here in the way I go Empty passenger seat It keeps talking back to me I can leave, I can run, I can try But you stay on the right side of my mind If I slow down right here tonight Would it feel like you’re by my side Or is it just me holding on To something already gone Empty passenger seat Still feels like you’re next to me I turn the wheel but I don’t know where it goes Cause you’re still here in the way I go
