[01:04.15] Though wounds were great, and respite scant, [01:07.30] Life clung to that wretched plant [01:10.38] Its skin was scarred, its leaves were ripped, [01:13.56] Damned to wait, as roots were fixed [01:16.88] For every hour, in hopeless fear, [01:19.94] It felt them leave then draw back near [01:23.28] The insects drudged without a sound, [01:26.42] And tore the plant down to the ground [01:45.85] Among them, one drone like any other, [01:52.36] Stole away to meet another [02:05.31] Far from the swarm, the two had hidden [02:18.66] Their unborn child, which was forbidden [02:32.05] Spiteful mind and eyes unseen, [02:35.33] Betrayed unto to a ruthless Queen [02:38.58] Condemned - the two would die alone, [02:41.64] Their egg was cast on to the stones [03:38.39] An offering to slake the earth, [03:41.82] Despite its lot, the child emerged [03:45.24] From hatching breath, its life was dire, [03:49.08] In every dawn, the sky brought fire [04:54.45] It sought its kind, and as it roamed, [04:58.03] Out of sight and far from home, [05:01.63] A pack could see that, left alive, [05:04.88] The child would lead them to the hive [06:27.15] Behind the hatchling, like a storm, [06:33.05] The giants fell upon the swarm, [06:38.77] With hungry teeth and gleeful hearts, [06:44.42] Those hunters pulled the Queen apart [06:44.42]
