Flora Cash - Still Alive

You've spent too long waiting on a change But it never came Did you wait in vain? I don't know your name But I know you well I'm just like you in that I had to fight through every day Trying to numb the pain Drink it all away Smoke another strain Didn't know myself I'm not gonna tell you it's okay Or to not complain Or that it's a phase But you're not insane Even when your back's up against a wall Even when you're down, and almost out When it looks the worst and getting worse Still alive You can always try Even when your back's up against a wall Even when your light is burning out When it looks the worst and getting worse Still alive You can always try I know that it's hard so don't get me wrong I don't want my words To be misheard Or to make it worse But I've been around We have all got our own heavy cross to bear It's a metaphor Like I said before I can look at yours 'Cause I've been around I'm not gonna tell you it's okay Or to not complain Or that it's a phase But you're not insane Even when your back's up against a wall Even when you're down, and almost out When it looks the worst and getting worse Still alive You can always try Even when your back's up against a wall Even when your light, is burning out When it looks the worst and getting worse Still alive You can always try I've been knocked down so many times I've been all blue, many times I've been knocked down so many times So many times, so many times I've been knocked down so many times I've been knocked down so many times I've been knocked down so many times So many times, so many times I've been knocked down so many times I've been knocked down so many times I've been knocked down so many times So many times, so many times
