GutSimCountry, Owen James, Damon Price - I’ll Return

I sing to the clouds I sing to the sky I sing to the wind Though it changes its mind I sing to the valleys I sing to the seas I sing through the storm And the soft summer breeze I sing to it all And I bow to it all This is the temple no hands ever made Just one step inside And I'm finally home I may turn into wind I may turn into sound Or vanish in silence Where no words can be found Then the silence will fill With a music divine And everything moves In one beautiful dance Till everything somehow Becomes part of me Then the final chord rings And at last I can hear My own voice as it truly is Living and creating And after it's over I'll come back again But I'll never return quite the same Maybe next time I'll come as a poet I'll write to the clouds I'll write to the sky Drop a line to the wind Though it changes its mind To the valleys and seas I will write what I know To the storm of course And the soft winds that blow I'll write to them all They will hear They will understand They will take every word into themselves This is the temple No hands ever made Just one step And I'm there I'm there I'm there And then I'll return But I'll never be the same I may come back as rain I may come back as snow As the colors of sunset As the first light of dawn Or maybe I'll simply Come back as a man Starting over again At mile zero On some road in the night I'll walk till I find Someone's doorway ahead Stand quietly there And gently knock on the door
