K. Flay - Bar Soap

She said I never live in the moment That I'm hellbent on staying in motion Got my eyes seven miles down the road map So I missed when she asked me to slow dance But reality feels like it's bar soap Slipping through my fingertips so fast I sit here and ask, "Why I'm wasting today on tomorrow?" The only thing that's real is right now That's what they say, that's what they say But, god, the future feels so real somehow That's what they say The future feels too real She said I'm always too busy planning Wondering what's gonna happen But you know that behavior is classic Baby, I'm just the child of an addict So reality feels like it's bar soap Slipping through my fingertips so fast I sit here and ask, "Why I'm wasting today on tomorrow?" Too slippery to hold The only thing that's real is right now That's what they say, that's what they say But, god, the future feels so real somehow That's what they say The future feels too real The only thing that's real is right now Now, now But, god, the future feels so real somehow How, how The future feels too real
