Commodores - Better Never Than Forever

Every day I work my hands to the bone It seems I have no money when I come home With a wife and kids, kids to raise A peace of mind it seems impossible to save Better never than forever baby Living in a world that's no untogether Better never than forever baby Living in a world that won't do no better During these times of turmoil and strife I gotta make sure I save my family's life Hard times are here but sure it seems Whatever happened to America's dreams Better never than forever baby Living in a world that's no untogether Better never than forever baby Living in a world that won't do no better I'd never thought I'd see the day People in this country would have to live this way Robbin' stealin' on some kinda drug Should be some damn way of tryin' to give a little love Better never living in a world so untogether Better never living in a world so untogether Better never living in a world so untogether.
