The Ninth Wave - I'm Only Going to Hurt You

I never wanted us to wear thin I didn't want to be the cause of this harm But I could never break my own skin And let the blood spill into open arms You're a pain in my chest The softest thorn in my side The perfect sort of heartache But I don't want to watch my severed heart break And I don't want to watch my severed, my severed heart break 'Cause I'm only going to hurt you And I don't want to watch my severed, my severed heart break 'Cause I'm only going to hurt you I'm going, I'm going I'm going, I'm going to hurt you I'm going, I'm going to hurt you You have a certain kind of sadness When you know that, you will end up in tears But it's the way that this will happen This is the way that I will break you, my dear You're a pain in my chest The softest thorn in my side The perfect sort of heartache But I don't want to watch my severed heart break I never want to be alone again I didn't want us to retire this way I never want to be alone again So I hope you still believe it when I say But you're a pain in my chest The softest thorn in my side The perfect sort of heartache And I don't want to watch my severed heart break And I don't want to watch my severed, my severed heart break 'Cause I'm only going to hurt you And I don't want to watch my severed, my severed heart break 'Cause I'm only going to hurt you And I don't want to watch my severed, my severed heart break 'Cause I'm only going to hurt you And I don't want to watch my severed, my severed heart break 'Cause I'm only going to hurt you I'm going, I'm going I'm going to hurt you I'm going, I'm going I'm going to hurt you I'm going, I'm going I'm going to hurt you I'm going, I'm going I'm going to hurt you
