grandson, Bob Vylan - WHO'S THE ENEMY

(Who's the enemy?) Is it the boy throwing rocks after they took everything that he got? (Who's the enemy?) Is it the boy caught or is it the system leaving a little boy shot? (Who's the enemy?) Is it the boy that changed his identity, got told it's a felony? (Who's the enemy?) Oh, I think I know, I'll sit my ass down when that flag gets flown 'Cause I know Yes, I know You're the enemy You're the criminal Not the victim Unforgivable, unforgivable You're the enemy You're the criminal Not the victim Unforgivable, unforgivable (Who's the enemy?) Is it the color of his skin, or is it the tax bracket he's in? Is it the immigrant soul or the policy at home that's takin' its toll? (Who's the enemy?) Is it radicalized men or the country that colonized them? Is it the hustler, or is it the system that's bringing them customers? (Who's the enemy?) Who survives long enough to decide the right side of history? Who provides policy that divides with more pain and misery? (Who's the enemy?) I think I know, I'll sit my ass down when that flag gets flown 'Cause I know Yes, I know You're the enemy You're the criminal Not the victim Unforgivable, unforgivable You're the enemy You're the criminal Not the victim Unforgivable, unforgivable (Who's the enemy?) (Who's the enemy?) (Who's the enemy?) Left and right, it's all the same It's all the same It will never, never change, dropping bombs and making money Making money Dropping bombs and making money My brother said they came and carved a line into the land Packed up the oil, let him figure where he'd stand The place was left in ruins, so some packed up and ran People of the sun labeled people of the sand (who's the enemy?) Whose life with they had a price would be cheaper than a man With fair skin and blonde hair, yeah, you understand? It wasn't fair when they took the life out of our hands And rinsed our resources to meet their demands And we arrive on the shore in a cold world Built off the backs of those from the old world, still labeled a threat Homeland driven with debt But the enemy we faced hasn't killed us yet
