Letta Mbulu - Maru A Pula

Maru a pula is a song of happiness Maru a pula is a song of happiness Come on people gather round I'll tell you why Come on people gather round I'll tell you why Long ago in a land of summer rains One hot summer the rains never came The sun was burning the earth hot and dry Birds of music were not up in the sky Seven years went by nothing changed Fish were dying cos the rivers were running dry People saw precious crops and cattle die But Mother Nature couldn't bear to see her children die (Look over yonder) There are clouds up in the sky (Look over yonder) The sound of music is the air (Look over yonder)Birds singing in harmony (Look over yonder) A good sign it's gonna rain Helelelelelelelelelele - it's gonna rain rain, it's gonna rain rain Helelelelelelelelelelelele - it's gonna rain rain, it's gonna rain rain Helelelelelelelelelele - it's gonna rain rain, it's gonna rain rain
