JP Cooper - Grandparents

I thought love was supposed to be blind But these days, we choose with our eyes While we're sitting at home, and we search on our phones For a lover, at least for tonight But I want a love like my grandparents had Wanna turn back the time to the days Where forever means forever, I can't think of nothing better Than to promise my love that I'll stay Watching friends try to find a connection But it's gone just as soon as it starts And you can't build a fire with only desire Yeah, we're more than disposable hearts But I want a love like my grandparents had Wanna turn back the time to the days Where forever means forever, I can't think of nothing better Than to promise my love that I'll stay What happened to staying power? Oh, five hundred thousand hours That's 58 years through the smiles and the tears But you're leaving me after one night But I want a love like my grandparents had Wanna turn back the time to the days Where forever means forever, I can't think of nothing better Than to promise my love that I'll stay But I want a love like my grandparents had Wanna turn back the time to the days Where forever means forever, I can't think of nothing better Than to promise my love that I'll stay
